The common wood-plastic composite materials on the market mainly consist of three types: PS, PE, and PVC.
PS flooring is manufactured using a plastic foaming process, featuring a relatively high coefficient of thermal expansion and contraction. In low-temperature environments, it tends to shrink significantly, causing stress concentration at the fixed screw points, which highly increases the risk of floor fracture and damage.
PE flooring is produced by hot-pressing a mixture of plastic particles and wood powder. Due to the strong water-absorbing property of wood powder, the core material of the flooring absorbs water and swells in humid conditions. This swelling then exerts pressure on the outer cladding, ultimately leading to quality issues such as cracking and deformation.
Our developed PVC-modified flooring utilizes a special formula and process to maintain the wood powder content at an extremely low level. This not only significantly reduces the material’s coefficient of thermal expansion and contraction but also fundamentally solves the problem of water-absorption-induced swelling. As a result, it neither fractures due to low-temperature shrinkage nor deforms or cracks from water absorption, truly achieving a perfect integration of high performance and long service life.
