Ningbo-Zhoushan Port

Located on the southern wing of Hangzhou Bay, it comprises port areas such as Beilun, Zhenhai, Chuanshan, and others. With a main channel depth of 22.5 meters, it can accommodate the world’s largest 400,000-ton bulk carriers and 24,000 TEU container ships. Equipped with over 200 international shipping routes, it connects to more than 200 countries globally. In 2024, its container throughput reached 39.3 million TEU (ranking top 3 worldwide), and total cargo throughput hit 1.377 billion tons, maintaining the No. 1 global ranking for 16 consecutive years.

Shanghai Port

Complementing Ningbo-Zhoushan Port, Shanghai Port leverages the golden waterway of the Yangtze River and its status as a Far Eastern shipping hub. In 2023, the Yangshan Phase IV Automated Terminal achieved a throughput of 50 million TEU, setting a new global port record. With nearly 350 international routes covering over 200 countries, the terminal handled 8.03 million TEU annually. It is the world’s only port with fully automated operations from start to finish, boasting a quay crane efficiency of 47.3 moves per hour—the highest globally.
